How much are your subscriptions really costing you? This free subscription cost tracker adds up to five monthly subscriptions and shows your true monthly and annual total.
How the Subscription Cost Tracker Works
Subscription creep is easy to miss when each charge looks small on its own bank statement line. This tracker adds up to five monthly subscription costs you enter, then multiplies the combined monthly total by 12 to show what those subscriptions really cost you over a full year.
Formula: Monthly Total = Subscription 1 + Subscription 2 + Subscription 3 + Subscription 4 + Subscription 5 (only amounts greater than $0 are added). Annual Total = Monthly Total × 12. Active Subscriptions = the count of entered fields with a value greater than $0.
- Subscription 1–5 — the monthly cost of each subscription, entered in dollars in the “Subscription 1” through “Subscription 5” fields; leave any unused field blank or at $0.
- Total monthly cost — the sum of all entered subscription amounts, shown as the main result.
- Annual total — the total monthly cost multiplied by 12.
- Active subscriptions — a count of how many of the five fields have a value greater than $0.

Subscription Cost Tracker FAQ
How many subscriptions can I track with this calculator?
This tracker supports up to five subscription amounts at once. If you have more than five, add the extras together by hand into one of the fields, or run the calculator again for a second batch and add the totals yourself. Why does the annual total look so much higher than I expected?
Small recurring charges compound quickly when multiplied by 12 months. A handful of subscriptions that each feel minor on a monthly statement can add up to several hundred dollars a year once you see the annual total side by side.Do I need to fill in all five subscription fields?
No, leave any fields you’re not using blank or at $0. The active subscriptions count and totals only include fields where you’ve entered an amount greater than zero.Does this tracker account for annual or quarterly subscriptions?
No, all five fields are treated as monthly costs. If a subscription bills annually or quarterly, divide its charge by 12 or 4 respectively to convert it to a monthly equivalent before entering it.How can I use this to decide which subscriptions to cancel?
Enter your current subscriptions, note the annual total, then remove one at a time and recheck the totals to see exactly how much each cancellation would save you over a year. What counts as an “active” subscription in the results?
Any field where you’ve entered a value greater than $0 counts as active. A field left blank or set to $0 is not counted, which lets you track fewer than five subscriptions without affecting the count.Related Calculators
