What this age calculator shows you

An age calculator works out the time between your date of birth and any date (today by default). It shows your exact age in years, months and days, the total days, hours and minutes you’ve lived, and a countdown to your next birthday.

How age is calculated

The calculator counts complete calendar years, then months, then days — correctly handling different month lengths and leap years. For totals, it measures the full time span and converts it to days (× 24 for hours, × 60 for minutes). Someone born on 1 January 2000 is exactly 26 years old on 1 January 2026 — about 9,498 days or 227,952 hours.

How to use the age calculator

  1. Enter your date of birth.
  2. Add a time of birth if you want hour-level precision (optional).
  3. Set a second date to find your age then, or leave it blank for today.
  4. Read your result. Exact age and totals update instantly.

Things you can work out with it

  • Your exact age for forms, eligibility or milestones.
  • How many days until a birthday or special date.
  • Age on a past or future date by setting the second field.
  • Fun totals like how many hours or minutes you’ve been alive.

Enter your date of birth and the calculator counts the complete years, months and days up to today (or any date you choose), handling month lengths and leap years automatically.

How many days old am I?

The calculator shows your total days alive by measuring the full span from your birth date to today. Someone born on 1 January 2000 is about 9,498 days old on 1 January 2026.

Can I calculate my age on a future or past date?

Yes. Enter a second date in the "age at date" field to find how old you were or will be then. Leave it blank to use today's date.
