Estimate your IVF or FET due date. This free IVF due date calculator works from your embryo transfer date and embryo age (day 3, 5 or 6) or your egg retrieval date, and shows how far along you are.
An estimated due date for IVF and frozen-embryo pregnancies, which can be dated very precisely because the embryo’s age is known. It’s still an estimate — your clinic and dating scan confirm it. Babies arrive across a normal range around the due date.
Based on
A full-term pregnancy is about 266 days from conception. With IVF the embryo’s age is known, so the due date is the transfer date plus (266 minus the embryo’s age in days), or the egg-retrieval date plus 266.

Estimates only and not medical advice. Your fertility clinic and dating ultrasound provide the definitive due date for your pregnancy.
Use this free IVF due date calculator to estimate your due date from an embryo transfer or egg retrieval. Because the embryo’s age is known, IVF pregnancies can be dated very precisely.
What this IVF due date calculator does
An IVF due date calculator works out your estimated due date from your transfer date and embryo age (day 3, 5 or 6), or from your egg retrieval date. It also shows how far along you are and the equivalent “last period” date used in standard pregnancy dating.
How IVF due dates are calculated
Day-5 transfer: due date = transfer date + 261 days
Day-3 transfer: due date = transfer date + 263 days
Day-6 transfer: due date = transfer date + 260 days
Egg retrieval: due date = retrieval date + 266 days
Each is based on a 266-day (38-week) pregnancy from conception, minus the embryo’s age at transfer. A day-5 blastocyst transferred on 1 February gives a due date around 20 October.

Why IVF dating is so precise
In a natural pregnancy the conception date is estimated. With IVF, the embryo’s exact age and transfer date are known, so the due date is calculated directly — making it more precise than dating from a last period. Frozen-embryo transfers use the same method based on the embryo’s age.
How to use the IVF due date calculator
Choose transfer or egg retrieval.
Enter the date and, for a transfer, the embryo’s age.
Read your estimated due date and how far along you are.
IVF Due Date FAQ
How is an IVF due date calculated?
From the transfer date plus (266 minus the embryo's age): a day-5 transfer adds 261 days, day-3 adds 263, day-6 adds 260. From egg retrieval, add 266 days.
What's the due date for a 5-day embryo transfer?
Add 261 days to the transfer date. For example, a transfer on 1 February gives a due date around 20 October.
Is an IVF due date more accurate than a normal one?
Generally yes. The embryo's exact age and transfer date are known, so the due date is calculated directly rather than estimated from a last period.
Does a frozen embryo transfer (FET) use the same method?
Yes. FET due dates are based on the embryo's age at transfer, the same as a fresh transfer — choose day 3, 5 or 6.
Can I calculate from egg retrieval?
Yes. Switch to "egg retrieval" mode and add 266 days, since retrieval is close to the conception date.
Is the IVF due date calculator free?
Yes, this IVF due date calculator is completely free, needs no sign-up, and gives instant results in your browser.
